If you want a local business online and found on one bill, LotsBusiness includes the website, business email with unlimited mailboxes, the Google Business Profile steps and a directory listing guide for each business. If you want an AI builder that makes apps and online stores, payments, bookings and 24/7 phone and chat support, GoDaddy Website Builder fits.
Every GoDaddy fact below comes from GoDaddy's own website builder page, pricing page and business email page, checked on 31 October 2026. I quote plan list prices only, in US dollars. GoDaddy's builder page also mentions an extra first-year discount for annual plans, which I leave out.

Checked on 31 October 2026 on godaddy.com/websites/website-builder, godaddy.com/pricing, godaddy.com/email/professional-business-email and lots.business/pricing. "Not listed" or "not shown" means I didn't find it on GoDaddy's pages that day, not that it can't be done.
Where LotsBusiness is the better choice
Business email is part of the price
A customer trusts info@yourbusiness.com more than a free address. In LotsBusiness every paid business includes business email with as many mailboxes as the team needs, info@, bookings@ and one for each person. There is no per-mailbox bill.
GoDaddy's builder plans don't list email. Its separate business email page sells Microsoft 365 plans per mailbox, from a list price of $8.99 a month for Email Essentials, and shows a lower first-year price that I don't quote. A team of three at that list price pays for three. If you want Microsoft's apps, GoDaddy's higher email plans add Word, Excel and Teams, and every plan has shared calendars. LotsBusiness email has no calendar or office apps: it is mailboxes at your own domain.
More on how this works in how to get a business email at your own domain and website builders that include business email.
Built for being found, not only for building
A website is one piece. Customers also find a local business on Google Maps and in directories, and they need the same name, phone and hours everywhere. LotsBusiness covers that in the same subscription:
- Google Business Profile. Create the profile step by step and follow Google's own verification, or link one you have, then post offers, events and updates. Weekly hours reach Google once, when the profile is created; after that you change them in Google. Google decides verification and ranking, so nobody can honestly promise a position. See how to get a business on Google Maps.
- Directories that matter. LotsBusiness shows which directories fit the business's trade and gives you the exact details to enter, worded the same way every time, and tracks your progress. You submit them yourself.
- Readable by Google and AI assistants. Services, hours, area and contact details are on every page in the format they read.
- Update once. New hours or a new phone number show on the website and the free LotsBusiness listing straight away.
GoDaddy lists a Google Business Profile connector on Professional and Ultimate, and built-in SEO tools on every plan. Its builder page doesn't describe directory listing help.
A website built from your business, then edited section by section
Answer a few short questions and the AI builds a draft from your details, services and photos. You see a private preview first, and nothing goes live until you publish. The draft is checked automatically before you see it: phone numbers, colours, facts taken from your business record, no placeholder text and a working contact form.
Then you edit it the way you think about it: pages made of sections you can add, move and change, with plain fields and a live preview at computer or phone width. Press "Change with AI" and type what you want, like "add a section about our delivery area". "Undo all my edits" goes back to the build. Each business on a plan gets 3 AI builds and 20 AI changes a month, and editing by hand is always free. After the monthly allowance a build or change is paid from LotsTech Credits, and the price is shown and confirmed first.
GoDaddy's credit plans can't be compared one to one: its builder page doesn't say how many credits one build or change uses.
A domain you can see the price of before you pay
For a paid business, open the Website tab, then Domains, and choose "Get a new domain". You see the price for the first year and for each renewal before you pay. The domain is registered in your name, with free privacy protection where the ending allows it and a transfer lock, and your website and business email are connected for you. The domain is paid separately from the plan.
Already own a domain, at GoDaddy or anywhere else? Keep it there. Use "I already have a domain" to connect it, or "Manage a domain you already own" and LotsBusiness reads the current records, lists them in plain words and copies them over once you confirm each one.
One click to a blog on your own domain
Under Website, Settings, Blog you can create a new blog at yourbusiness.com/blog or connect a LotsBlog blog you already have. It uses your website's header and footer, and a Blog link is added to your menu the next time you publish. The blog is billed on LotsBlog's own plans, and LotsBusiness adds nothing on top. The price is shown before you confirm.
Client work on every plan
If you build sites for local clients, every paid LotsBusiness plan has an agency workspace for all your client businesses and your team, with admin, manager and viewer roles. Clients see only their own business. You send an approval link they open without an account, and when the work is done a hand-over moves the business, its website and its domain to the client's own account and plan. Each client business includes email, the Google steps and the listing guide. On the 25-business plan, the price is $1,290 a year. See how agencies get sign-off and hand over a website and the agencies page.
GoDaddy's Ultimate plan, at $99.99 a month billed annually, covers up to 50 sites or apps with team collaboration and hand-off of finished projects to clients, plus priority support.
Where GoDaddy Website Builder fits
GoDaddy's builder does things LotsBusiness doesn't do:
- An online store with payments. Professional and Ultimate list online payments and deposits, a product catalog, automatic sales tax and flexible shipping rates. LotsBusiness has no cart or checkout: a store is a separate product, LotsStore.
- Appointment bookings. Listed on Professional and Ultimate. LotsBusiness has no calendar scheduling: its contact form can ask for a preferred date and time, and it arrives as a message for you to answer.
- More than a website. Its AI builder says it generates web apps, databases and logic, lets you view and edit the generated code, and lists "download your code anytime" on every paid plan.
- A free domain with an annual plan. One available domain with a new annual plan, plus the annual ICANN fee.
- A free plan to try. 50 AI credits a month, no credit card, and unlimited preview sites and apps.
- Support at any hour. 24/7 expert support by phone and chat, plus Microsoft 365 email with calendars if you want it.
If you need a shop with payments, bookings or a custom app, GoDaddy is a sound choice.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose LotsBusiness if you run a local business, or the online presence of local clients, and want the website, email at your own name with unlimited mailboxes, the Google profile steps and the listing guide on one bill per business.
- Choose GoDaddy Website Builder if you need online payments, bookings or a web app, want phone support at any hour, or want a free plan to try ideas first.

How to move a business from GoDaddy to LotsBusiness
- Add the business for free. Enter your current website address and press "Fill from site": LotsBusiness reads what is published and fills in what it finds. Anything it can't find stays blank, and you confirm each value.
- Build the new site. On the Website tab choose "Build my website with AI", or "Or start from a template" made for your kind of business. Your name, phone, hours, services and photos fill in. Edit any section and preview it.
- Get sign-off. For a client, send an approval link and wait for their yes.
- Point the domain. Keep the domain where it's registered, or buy a new one in LotsBusiness. For one you own, use "I already have a domain" and add the record shown at the company that holds your domain, then press "Check again". Before you cancel a GoDaddy plan, check in your GoDaddy account what the domain renews at.
- Set up email. Open the Email tab and follow the steps. If your mail is on GoDaddy's Microsoft 365, keep those mailboxes until you've saved any old mail you need, and move the mail records last.
- Add the Google profile. On the Google Business Profile tab, link the profile you already have or create one step by step.
Or ask your AI assistant
Everything above works in the dashboard. LotsBusiness also works with the AI agent you already use, so if you work in ChatGPT or Claude, connect it once (setup) and ask in plain words:
Read example.com and add Example Bakery as a business from what it says. Build its website with AI and send me the preview. Then search for domain names for it and show me the first-year and renewal prices.
The assistant previews everything, nothing goes live until you publish, and it never pays for you: a domain purchase gives you a checkout link that you open yourself.
Common questions
Is LotsBusiness a GoDaddy Website Builder alternative?
Yes. Both give a business a website with hosting on its own domain and an AI builder. LotsBusiness adds business email with unlimited mailboxes, Google Business Profile steps, directory guidance and agency hand-over, from $10 a month billed yearly or $19 monthly. GoDaddy adds online payments, bookings, web apps and 24/7 phone support.
How much does GoDaddy Website Builder cost?
Checked on 31 October 2026: Starter is $9.99 a month billed annually or $19.99 monthly, Professional $24.99 annually or $49.99 monthly, and Ultimate $99.99 annually or $199.99 monthly. There is also a free plan with 50 AI credits a month. The builder page doesn't show what the plans renew at.
Does GoDaddy Website Builder include business email?
The builder plans don't list it. GoDaddy sells Microsoft 365 email separately per mailbox, from a list price of $8.99 a month for Email Essentials. LotsBusiness includes unlimited mailboxes with every paid business.
Can I keep my domain at GoDaddy and use LotsBusiness?
Yes. Keep the domain registered where it is and connect it, or let LotsBusiness manage its records. You can also buy a new domain in LotsBusiness and see its first-year and renewal price before you pay.
Does LotsBusiness have an online store or bookings?
No. LotsBusiness has no cart, payments or appointment calendar. Its contact form can ask for a preferred date and time, and an online store is a separate product, LotsStore. GoDaddy lists payments and bookings on its Professional and Ultimate plans.
Will either one get my business to the top of Google?
No one can honestly promise that. LotsBusiness helps you get the business on Google Search and Maps with a Google Business Profile and a site Google can read. Google decides verification and ranking.
