For one small business, the lowest first bill is Hostinger Premium: $119.52 paid upfront for 48 months, then $10.99 a month. GoDaddy, Squarespace, Durable and LotsBusiness start between $9.99 and $22 a month with hosting included. What decides your real cost is the renewal, the domain, email and who does the work.
I opened each service's own pricing page on 24 October 2026 (GoDaddy's was blocked, more below) and wrote down what one business pays in the first year, what happens after, what is included (domain, email, security certificate, support) and what you still have to do yourself. Prices are US dollars before tax, list prices only, no promotions. Sources are at the end.
Hosting only, a website builder, or someone builds it for you
These are three different things people search for under "small business website hosting services", and they cost different amounts of your time.
- Hosting only. You rent space for a website and build the site yourself, usually with WordPress. Hostinger's Premium hosting is the example here. It's the cheapest start and the most work: you install, update and fix things, and you set up your own Google profile and email.
- A website builder with hosting included. You pick a design, edit the text and publish, and hosting is part of the price. GoDaddy, Squarespace, Durable, 10Web and LotsBusiness work this way. Hostinger sells this too, on the same plans.
- Done for you. A person or an agency designs and launches the site. B12 sells a do-it-for-you package, and any local web designer or agency does the same. These are the "small business website design services" people search for. You pay for their time, and the price depends on the person, so I can't give you a number that holds.
Most owners are better off with the middle option, and an owner who doesn't want to touch it at all is better off with the third. The first is for people who already know WordPress.

1. LotsBusiness: website, Google profile steps and email in one price
I built LotsBusiness for owners who want to be found without assembling five services. One business is one subscription: a professional website from a ready-made design with hosting and HTTPS, Google Business Profile created step by step (with Google's own verification) or an existing one linked, then posts, and business email at your own domain with unlimited mailboxes. Enquiries from the website land in your email and the dashboard, and hours or a phone number you change once update the website and your free listing together.
Price. Starter covers 1 business for $120 a year ($10 a month) or $19 monthly. Pro covers 5 businesses for $390 a year and Business covers 25 for $1,290 a year, which is $4.30 per business a month. Team members and mailboxes are unlimited. Pro and Business also include LotsNotes Pro. You can cancel from Billing. If payment stops, the site stays online and editing and publishing pause. Details in LotsBusiness pricing explained.
What it doesn't do. It doesn't sell domains, so you buy one from a registrar and connect it with one DNS record, or start on the free lotssite.com address. It has no online shop or payments (that's LotsStore). It doesn't submit your business to directories for you: it tells you which ones matter and what to enter. It doesn't run ads, promise rankings or verify your Google profile, because Google decides that. It isn't done for you: you or your agency does the work, with step-by-step help. Squarespace and Wix give you more design freedom.
Pick LotsBusiness if you want the website, the Google profile and your own email under one bill, with no four-year prepay. Start with the free directory listing at lots.business. Agencies running many clients: see /agencies.
2. Hostinger: the lowest first bill, paid four years ahead
Hostinger's Premium plan is the only true hosting-only option here, and the same plan includes its builder. Hostinger's page shows $2.49 a month on a 48-month term: $119.52 upfront, regular price $585.12, renewing at $10.99 a month. It includes up to 3 websites, a free domain for 1 year, 2 mailboxes free for 1 year, free SSL, weekly backups and 24/7 support. Business email after the free year is sold per mailbox, from $1.59 a month at the renewal rate on Hostinger's business email page.
- Strengths. The lowest price per month here if you can prepay four years, and up to 3 sites.
- What to know. The low price is a four-year prepay, and the renewal is more than four times the headline monthly price. There are no Google profile steps.
Pick Hostinger if the lowest cost matters most and you're comfortable with WordPress. The longer comparison is in LotsBusiness vs Hostinger Website Builder.
3. GoDaddy Airo: builder from a name many owners already know
Airo Starter is $9.99 a month billed annually or $19.99 monthly for one site, with a free domain for the first year on an annual plan that renews at the current price. Professional ($24.99 annually, $49.99 monthly) covers up to 10 sites and connects Google Business Profile. Email isn't included: Microsoft 365 is sold per mailbox, listed from $8.99 a month, with a first-year price that varies on the page. GoDaddy's pages weren't readable on 24 October, so these figures are from 21 October.
Pick GoDaddy if your domain already lives there and you want a simple builder.
4. Squarespace: design first, email for a year
Basic is $19 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly), Core $29 ($39), Plus $49 ($65) and Advanced $99 ($139). Every plan includes a free domain for the first year on annual billing, a security certificate and 24/7 support. Core and above add one Google Workspace account free for the first year, then it renews at the standard rate. See Squarespace alternatives for local businesses.
Pick Squarespace if design quality matters most.
5. Durable: Google profile and directory listings in the plan
Launch is $22 a month on the yearly toggle, $25 monthly; Grow is $41 and $49. Launch includes secure hosting and SSL, up to a $20 domain credit, priority live chat, a CRM, bookings, Google Business Profile and 10+ directory listings that Durable submits. A Free plan exists with a preview and 4 basic listings. Email isn't on the pricing page. If you cancel, your domain can be transferred to you, which takes a couple of weeks, and the page mentions a minimum subscription time.
Pick Durable if you want listings submitted for you.
6. 10Web: WordPress and hosting with AI building
AI Starter is $10 a month on yearly billing ($120), with 1 site, a free custom domain up to $30 and 24/7 chat. AI Premium is $15 for 2 sites and AI Ultimate $22.50 for 4. Email and renewal prices aren't on the page.
Pick 10Web if you want WordPress without managing a server.
7. B12: the done-for-you route
Website is $24 a month, or $20 on yearly billing, with a free custom domain for the first year. Website + Client Engagement is $78 monthly and adds a custom email address, client intake, contracts and e-signatures. B12 also offers a do-it-for-you package and an expert marketplace with copywriters and designers, but publishes no prices for them. A Free plan uses a b12sites.com address.
Pick B12 if you want someone else to build it and sell professional services.
8. Webflow, and a word on Wix
Webflow Basic is $15 a month billed yearly and Premium is $25. It's built for designers: you connect your own domain, and email isn't part of the plan. A free Starter plan uses a webflow.io address. On 24 October 2026 Wix lists a free plan, a first-year domain voucher on paid plans, 24/7 support, and email through a separate Google Workspace plan. I don't quote Wix prices here: the longer comparison is in LotsBusiness vs Wix.
Where the cheaper and free options are
- Free: your Google Business Profile is free on its own, and a LotsBusiness directory listing, a Durable Free preview, a B12 Free site and a Webflow Starter site cost nothing.
- Cheapest first bill: Hostinger Premium, prepaid for 48 months.
- Email: check whether the plan includes it before you add a per-mailbox bill. See website builders with business email.

If you'd rather ask your AI assistant
Everything in LotsBusiness works in the dashboard. If you already use ChatGPT or Claude, you can connect it to the same account and ask it to change your hours or draft a Google post, and nothing goes live until you approve it. Setup is at lots.business/mcp.
FAQ
What is the cheapest small business website hosting? Checked on 24 October 2026: Hostinger Premium at $2.49 a month on a 48-month term, $119.52 upfront, renewing at $10.99 a month. Free options exist, such as a Google Business Profile or the free tiers of Durable, B12 and Webflow.
Do I need separate hosting if I use a website builder? No. GoDaddy, Squarespace, Durable, 10Web, B12 and LotsBusiness include hosting in the plan. You only buy hosting separately when you build a WordPress site yourself.
Does website hosting include business email? Rarely for good. Hostinger gives 2 mailboxes free for 1 year, Squarespace gives 1 Google Workspace account free for year one from Core, B12 includes custom email from its $78 monthly plan, and GoDaddy sells Microsoft 365 separately. LotsBusiness includes unlimited mailboxes at your own domain once the domain is connected.
What is the difference between hosting and website design services? Hosting keeps your site online. Design services are a person or agency building the site for you, which you pay for separately. B12 offers both and doesn't publish a price for its do-it-for-you package.
What doesn't LotsBusiness do? It doesn't sell domains, run an online shop, submit directory listings, run ads, promise rankings or build the site for you.
