What Paperclip can do with LotsBusiness

Once connected, Paperclip can:

  • Keep your business record up to date: contact details, opening hours, services, photos, links and FAQs.
  • Build and edit your website, and share a private preview before anything goes live.
  • Prepare your Google Business Profile for your approval and post updates, offers and events to it.
  • Show which local directories fit your business and give you the same listing details, worded the same way, for each one.
  • Read messages from your website contact form, reply to reviews and answer questions on your listing.
  • For agencies: run every client business from one workspace and send clients an approval link.

The LotsBusiness dashboard does everything an agent does, so you can check, edit or undo any change. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.

You need

  • Paperclip with the managed MCP gateway and Tools & Access enabled
  • Company administrator access to tools and agent profiles
  • A LotsBusiness API key
  • A LotsBusiness account. You can create one during sign-in.

Connect Paperclip to LotsBusiness

  1. Create the LotsBusiness connection

In your company’s Tools & Access, create a LotsBusiness application and a remote HTTP connection. Use the hosted MCP URL below.

    https://api.lots.business/mcp
  2. Store the key as a secret

Create a key at https://www.lotstech.com/api and save it as a Paperclip company secret. Attach a credential reference to the connection: header Authorization, prefix Bearer followed by a space. Keep the key out of plain connection configuration.

  3. Check the connection and load its tools

Run the connection health check and refresh its tool catalog. Enable the connection, review the discovered tools and approve the actions you want your agent to perform.

  4. Assign access to your agent

Create a tool profile containing the LotsBusiness tools you need and bind it to the responsible agent. Ask that agent “List my businesses on LotsBusiness and what each one still needs” before giving it real work.

What to ask next

  • “Build a website for my salon from our listing and send me the preview”
  • “Post this weekend’s offer to our Google Business Profile”
  • “Which local directories should my plumbing business be on, and what do I submit?”
  • “Update our opening hours for the holiday weekend”

If something goes wrong

My agent cannot see LotsBusiness tools
Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.

Paperclip and LotsBusiness: questions

How do I connect Paperclip to LotsBusiness?

Follow the Paperclip setup above to add https://api.lots.business/mcp. Configure your LotsBusiness API key using the credential settings shown. Then ask “List my businesses on LotsBusiness and what each one still needs”.

Does adding Paperclip’s MCP server also add LotsBusiness?

No. The two servers expose different tools. LotsBusiness must be connected to the agent runtime or called through its REST API.

Do I need an API key to use LotsBusiness with Paperclip?

Yes. Create one at https://www.lotstech.com/api and keep it out of chats, logs and committed files. Where Paperclip offers sign-in, use that instead.

What does LotsBusiness cost?

Current plans and prices are on https://lots.business/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.

Does my agent publish my website or post to Google without asking?

Your agent shares a private preview before a website is published and shows you the text before a Google post. You can check or undo any change in the dashboard.

Does my agent submit my business to other directories?

No. It lists the directories that fit your business and country and gives you the exact details to enter, worded the same for each. You or your agency submit, and your agent tracks each one.

Do I need a paid business to use an agent?

Every business starts with a free directory listing. A paid business also unlocks its website, Google Business Profile tools, directory list and business email. See the pricing page for details.
