If you want a local business online and found with one bill, LotsBusiness includes the website, hosting, business email with unlimited mailboxes, the Google Business Profile steps and a directory listing guide for each business. If you want the widest design range, an online store, bookings and an app market, Wix fits. Email on Wix means buying a Google Workspace plan.

Every Wix fact below comes from Wix's own plans page, Wix Studio page and Wix Help Center, checked on 23 October 2026. I compare features only and don't quote Wix prices: its plans page shows prices that vary by location, so check the price Wix shows you at checkout.

## LotsBusiness vs Wix at a glance

## Where LotsBusiness is the better choice

### One price per business, with email included

A local business needs more than a website to look professional: an address like info@yourbusiness.com, a Google profile, and the same details on the directories customers use. In LotsBusiness, each paid business gets all of that in one subscription: the website and hosting, business email with as many mailboxes as the team needs, the Google Business Profile steps and the listing guide.

LotsBusiness Starter is $10 a month billed yearly ($120 a year), or $19 billed monthly, for one business. Pro covers 5 businesses for $390 a year ($6.50 per business a month) or $59 monthly. Business covers 25 businesses for $1,290 a year ($4.30 per business a month) or $199 monthly. Every feature is on every paid plan. The full breakdown is in [LotsBusiness pricing explained](https://lots.business/blog/lotsbusiness-pricing-explained).

On Wix, the plans page says the way to an address at your domain is to buy a Google Workspace plan, which also gives you Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Slides. If your team already wants those Google apps, that is a fair trade. If you just want mailboxes at your own name, LotsBusiness includes them, with no extra bill per person. How it works step by step: [How to get a business email at your own domain](https://lots.business/blog/business-email-at-your-own-domain).

### The Google steps, the listing guide and the website in one place

Both products help with the Google Business Profile, and I'll give Wix credit: you can create or link a profile from the Wix dashboard, and edits you make there save to Google.

LotsBusiness goes a step further for a local business. It walks you through creating the profile with Google's own verification, or links the one you have, then lets you post offers, events and updates. It shows which directories matter for your trade, gives you the exact details to enter so your name, phone and hours match everywhere, and tracks what is done. When you change your hours or phone, the website and your LotsBusiness listing show it straight away. Every page is also set up so Google and AI assistants can read your services, hours, area and contact details. The full Google steps are in [how to get a business on Google Maps](https://lots.business/blog/how-to-get-a-business-on-google-maps).

LotsBusiness doesn't submit directories for you and can't promise a position on Google. Nobody honestly can: Google decides verification and ranking.

### Agency work on every plan, with a clean hand-over

If you run websites for local clients, LotsBusiness puts every client business and your team in one workspace on any paid plan. Clients see only their own business. You send an approval link the client opens without creating an account, and when the work is done you hand over the business, its website and its domain to the client's own account and plan. You can stay on as a manager if the client agrees. The per-business price drops as you add clients: $4.30 per client a month on the Business plan, billed yearly, with email and the Google steps included for each one. More on that flow in [how agencies get client sign-off and hand over a website](https://lots.business/blog/client-sign-off-and-website-handover), and on [lots.business/agencies](https://lots.business/agencies).

Wix Studio is a strong agency platform too, with custom roles and permissions and customizable handovers. The difference is what each client site includes: with LotsBusiness, the email, the Google steps and the listing guide come with every client business.

### Unlimited team members

Invite staff, a bookkeeper or the person who helps with the website at no extra cost. On Wix, each Premium plan sets how many site collaborators you can add: 2, 5, 10 or 100 depending on the plan.

### Your site stays yours

You can download any version of your LotsBusiness site as files, your domain stays registered wherever you bought it, and your Google profile lives in your own Google account. If payment lapses, nothing is deleted and the website stays online; editing, publishing, Google posts and email setup pause until you add a plan or credits. ## Where Wix fits

Wix is a big, mature platform, and for many businesses it is the right pick:

- **Design range.** 2,000+ templates, a drag-and-drop editor, and an AI builder that creates a site from a single prompt.
- **An online store, payments and bookings.** eCommerce, payment tools and scheduling are on the Core plan and above.
- **Domains in one place.** Wix is also a domain registrar, so you can buy the domain where you build the site, with a 1-year voucher on most yearly plans at first purchase.
- **A free plan.** You can build a site for free on a Wix address before you pay.
- **Support and refunds.** 24/7 customer care and a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first upgrade.
- **Wix Studio for agencies and developers.** Real-time collaboration, custom code with an AI code assistant, and an app market.

If you need a shop, bookings or full design control, Wix is a sound choice.

## Which one should you choose?

- **Choose LotsBusiness** if you run a local business, or the online presence of local clients, and want the website, email at your own name with unlimited mailboxes, the Google profile steps and the listing guide on one bill per business.
- **Choose Wix** if you need an online store, bookings or the widest choice of designs, want to buy your domain where you build, or want to start on a free site.

## How to move a business from Wix to LotsBusiness

1. **Add the business for free.** Create its free listing, or let LotsBusiness read your current Wix site and fill in the name, phone, hours and description. You confirm each value.
2. **Build the new site.** Start from the ready-made design for your kind of business. Your name, services, hours and photos fill in. Change texts, colours and pages without code, and preview.
3. **Get sign-off.** For a client, send an approval link and wait for their yes.
4. **Point the domain.** Keep the domain where it's registered (including at Wix) and add the one DNS record LotsBusiness shows you. When it shows as active, the site is live on your domain.
5. **Set up email.** Switch on business email, add the records shown, then create your mailboxes. If you use Google Workspace today, keep it until you've saved the mail you need, then move the mail records last.
6. **Link the Google profile.** Link the profile you already have. It stays in your Google account; you don't need to create a new one.

### Or ask your AI assistant

Everything above works in the dashboard. LotsBusiness also works with the AI agent you already use, so if you work in ChatGPT or Claude, connect it once ([setup](https://lots.business/mcp)) and ask in plain words:

> Read example.com and add Example Florist as a business from what it says. Start a website from the design that fits a florist and send me the preview. Then show me the DNS record to connect example.com, and link the Google Business Profile I already have.

The assistant previews everything, and nothing goes live until you approve.

## Common questions

### Is LotsBusiness a Wix alternative?

Yes, for local businesses and the agencies that serve them. Both give you a website with hosting on your own domain and help with the Google Business Profile. LotsBusiness includes business email with unlimited mailboxes and a directory listing guide in one price per business, from $10 a month billed yearly. Wix adds an online store, bookings, a free plan and a wider design range.

### Does Wix include business email?

Not in the Premium plan itself. Wix's plans page says you can buy a Google Workspace plan to get an address at your domain, which also includes Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Slides. LotsBusiness includes unlimited mailboxes at your own domain with every paid business.

### Can Wix manage my Google Business Profile?

Yes. Wix's Help Center says you can create or link a profile from your Wix dashboard once a domain is connected, and edits you make there save to Google. LotsBusiness also creates or links the profile, then posts offers, events and updates, and keeps your hours in step on your website and listing.

### Can I keep my domain if I move from Wix?

Yes. LotsBusiness doesn't sell domains, so your domain can stay registered where it is, including at Wix. You add one DNS record to point the website at LotsBusiness, and a few more for email when you switch it on.

### Will either one get my business to the top of Google?

No one can honestly promise that. LotsBusiness helps you get the business on Google Search and Maps with a Google Business Profile and a site Google can read. Google decides verification and ranking.
